Pine Creek Construction was founded in 1989 by owner and
operator, Douglas Marvin Gritter. After growing up in the egg farming
industry under his father, Marvin, Doug soon discovered his own desire to become
a businessman and followed in his father's footsteps. A restless soul coming out
of college, Doug found himself acquiring and renovating rental properties along
side of a career in Gritter Brother's Egg Company (formerly located where Pine
Creek Construction now resides). A devastating fire, however, destroyed
thousands of chickens which supplied eggs to the company, and forced Doug to
liquidate the business. But this could not keep Doug down. This
turning point in Doug's life sparked him to pursue a passion in the building and
housing industry as he launched a new career in Pine Creek Construction.
Today, he is joined by Matthew Douglas Gritter, his eldest son, along with many
other valued employees in making West Michigan a better place to live.
